For anyone interested in looking at the future and guessing what is going to happen or what they would like to happen.

As in how, Cris? Numerology, tarot, or something simular?

otherwise known as divination
everything would be done to death pretty quick i think
to broaden the scope of the forum, perhaps the more inclusive "magic" would be more appropriate as a name

A place for Futurists to gather? Thats a great idea. We can discuss what other futurists have to say to, like David Zach.

Oops, a poor choice of words. But no not magic just what ifs, hypotheticals, and your imagination.

Or try this http://www.kheper.auz.com/future/scenarios/futurology.htm

Futorology and the world of the futurists covers a vast spectrum of ideas, from science, through religion, the arts, and anything else you might consider, but from the perspective of how these things might exist or change in the future.

It is a forum where you are invited to say' what if.....and then explore that idea.

The only requirement is that whatever you propose must be something that could or might take place in the future.

Yes!:D I like this idea very much! The mere thought that I could have a coversation about how minority report might of got it right, just gets me all worked up.

But I dont believe in precognition. And precognition wouldnt fit into that forum, would it?

Leave the fortune telling stuff in free thoughts.

Cool idea. I've always looked into the future with wander *sighs*

It sounds like a better idea than a Sex Forum that's for sure

Interesting, Cris. The idea of what the future holds has always intrigued me. It is one of the main reasons that I read scifi. I know that I will not be around another 100 years from now, (did I stroke that pet of yours? :D) yet always I wished I knew what the future held. Scifi deals in those concepts. True, not every basis for a book will hold truth but many will.

I do wonder how often it will be used.

A forum for discussing the future is a good idea, as long as the site isn't down for a month while the administrators install it.

The forum actually exists already, although it is in the future. Perhaps that is why there isn't too much content in it right now.;)
