The golden mean, the PHI (divine) proportion (0/1.618033...) and the circle, PI, (3.14159...) have been around for millenia. Phi has been utilised by rennaisance artists, pyramid builders and ancient Greeks alike...
It occured to me that, from an abstract perspective, PHI - PI = H.
H is the 8th letter in the alphabet, and has been connected numerologically with the planet Saturn, connected with karma.
If the circle can be philosophically visualised as perfection, spirit etc. And the phi proportion a "perfect" state of increase/decrease, then the issue of karma would differentiate PI from PHI theoretically, as without karma, there would only be PI- So, in theory, the human being must contain both.
Indeed, Da Vinci's PHI based, "Anatomy according to Ideal Principles"- of a human figure is inscribed within a circle, and the pentagram also conforms to PHI and is usually contained within one.
The spiral which is the oldest known symbol/reality model contains elements of both PI and PHI and, incidently, is to be found contained within the infrastructure of most natural organisms. The Milky Way galaxy also conforms to a phi based spiral apparently.
