Is anybody here good with neurology?
I was wondering if there were any simple sites that describe neuronet development.
How experiences produce emotions.
How emotions produce neuron hard wiring shaping attitudes.
How these connections create associations that combine to form a neuronet that is a physical manifestation of our personality in the brain.
How neuronets are related to habits: bad or good.
How this is related to addiction.
How breaking patterns interupt neuronet structure in order to change hardwiring.

this sounds like something for the inteligence and machines forum, they tend to talk about this kind of stuff. Artificial neural nets, not biological, but you might find what you're looking for. But no, I can't think of any sites on this subject... you might have done this already, but did you google?

Yes i googled. that my browserhome.
Why would it be in machine intelligence?
This has nothing to do with artificial intelligence.

neuronets, as a word, whether you like it or not, looks similar to Neural nets, which is an area of advancement of AI, by building lots of interconnected thinking thingys.
I assume what you are looking for is about neuronal development in sentient beings, ie humans for starters. try searching for brain development. Or look on sciforums for threads on memory and suchlike, there was one a wee while ago with gendanken and a few others tossing things about.

OK I wrote sort of an essay again because I found much of the answers I was in search of.
SUBATOMIC PHENOMENA
Quantum Physics – The study of subatomic phenomena.
Subatomic Phenomena – Particles and waves that exist in the quantum world.
Quantum World – A world that is to atoms even smaller than what atoms to our world.
Relativistic Quantum Field Theory – Describes subatomic particles/phenomena.
String Theory – Describes the behavior of subatomic particles/phenomena as vibrations from one-dimensional extended strings such as musical notes from a guitar.
Size
The nucleus of an atom is ten thousand times smaller than the atom itself.
That can be compared to a marble that is 1 inch thick suspended at the center of a beach-ball that is 70 stories high. To say the least, most of the space in an atom is empty.
-An atom is about one million times smaller than one millimeter.
-Subatomic particles are about a billion times smaller than atoms.
-String particles are theorized to be about ten trillion times smaller than subatomic particles.
Behavior
Subatomic phenomena do not follow the same laws we follow in the physical world.
A particle may change its behavior upon being observed.
A particle may sometimes behave as waves and sometimes as particles.
Particles blink in and out of existence.
A single particle might appear in two places in physical space-time at the same time.
String theories attempt to unify the theories about the behavior of subatomic phenomena.
REALITY
In the physical world, if I set a machine to shoot a baseball at a particular target, it will continue to shoot the baseball at that particular target.
In the quantum world, the baseball might go in different directions, blink in and out of existence, turn into two or more baseballs, suspend itself in mid air, go in all directions at the same time, or exhibit any other number of different behaviors.
Cause and Effect
Say in the physical world, a leaf falls off of a tree. If you take the entire history of the universe up until that very moment before that leaf fell off of the tree, and change nothing, there is 100% certainty that the leaf will fall off of the tree. Physical reality is stable. Or is it?
If that tree and that leaf existed in the quantum world, just about anything can happen. That’s because that reality tends to shift at quantum levels.
Some theorist hypothesize that the building blocks of physical reality are not matter and energy, but information.
Psychology – The study of the human mind, mental processes, and behavior.
SELF
Self – The observer. Dominion over the intellect. Ability to choose.
Consciousness – Aspect of our self that is completely aware and voluntary. Executes choices.
Subconscious – Aspect of our self that is unaware. Runs automatic programs, and controls involuntary functions. It’s the vehicle for our perception of reality. Also, it’s what makes us choose familiarity over opportunity.
Brain – Facilitator of consciousness. Machinery that plugs the self into reality.
Mind – Consciousness in action. Our consciousness using the brain.
EMOTIONS
Emotions – End product of experience.
Thalamus – located in the midbrain is like a giant synapse. It’s like the train station.
All nerves go up the spinal column to the brain stem to the thalamus.
Nerve fibers connect the thalamus to the higher centers of the brain.
Hypothalamus – under the thalamus is a completely different structure than thalamus.
Manufacturing plant that secretes emotion molecules (neuropeptides).
EMOTION PROCESS
The cerebellum sends information to the thalamus.
Thalamus stimulates the hypothalamus.
Hypothalamus constructs peptides with a specific signature.
Peptides are released through the pituitary gland into the bloodstream.
The frequency from the cerebellum now has a chemical signature. The peptides stimulate certain glandular centers or cells in the body.
Receptors of a cell receive peptides. This interface affects the DNA of the cell.
This causes cellular changes which result in physical reactions to emotions.
Addiction – The continued production of the same chemical rush that enslaves the body into a feedback loop between what we think and what we feel. The loop of immobilization/antimobilization which is the result of incomplete experiences. These loops cause cells to create receptors for the neuropeptides which we are addicted to. In effect, nutrients are blocked from entering the cell. That repetitive emotional experience will continue for life unless the experience is completed. Closure.
Wisdom – Our understanding of the how we created a particular complete experience.
Learning – Making choices that modify behavior to a joyful experience.
Joy – True joy is the unlimited emotion. There is no addiction in true joy. Joy is the side effect of breaking emotional addiction. It is the result of wisdom (closure and understanding of how we created a particular complete experience). Closure and wisdom prevent feedback loops of addiction allowing nutrients into the cell.
MEMORY
Semantic – concepts and ideas
Episodic – experience and events
Procedural – skills and abilities
MEMORY PROCESS
Senses flood the brain with information.
Neurotransmitters are produced which cause the brain to map the patterns of the experience (episodic memories).
These are what cause us to associate certain emotions with certain people/places/events.
NEURONET
Neuron – Nerve cell.
Neuronet – All of the physical neuron connections in the brain.
Neuromap – The shape of a particular neuronet. (Just as city map is a map of a particular city.)
A brain wires itself before before infancy during the 2rd trimester of pregnancy.
At this point, our neuromap is identical to our parents. This counts for 50% of our personality.
Throughout our experiences, we fortify or modify those connections. Personality is further enhanced.
Thoughts fuse to=> attitude to=> beliefs to=> perceptions to=> personality.
Our neuromap is a physical manifestation of our personality.
Our perception of reality is based in the hard wiring of our neuronet.
The actions that we take are based on our perceptions of reality.
PROCESS
If we look at great people such as artists we are amazed at how much they produce. Creative artists are people that have created a neuromap in their brain that allows them to produce artwork like a program on a computer. In other words, it is no longer necessary for them to be creative. They produce works that fascinates us, but they do it mechanically instead of creatively. As the artist does so, his neuromap is reinforced so he continues to do so.
Habits – habits are nothing more than actions and choices based on our neuromap that we make without willful effort.
We weigh opportunities against familiarity and allow our bodies and time to dictate the choices we make. It’s a chemical desire and neurological arrangement for familiarity.
Familiarity Choice – Based on external environment stimulus.
We start with good intentions.
We allow our lives and circumstantial stimuli to infiltrate our good intentions and resolutions that cause us to make compromises for people and things that we think we need to hold together. Our current neuromap is enforced.
Opportunity Choice – Based on internal observation stimulus of the self which has dominion over the neuronet.
If we make a choice that is different from the familiarity of our neuronet, the pattern is interrupted. As we continue to remove our self from the familiarity, and towards the opportunity, resources from the old community of neurons are taken in order to build a new community of neurons in the neuronet. Our neuromap is modified. The familiarity becomes a complete experience, and the opportunity becomes the familiarity. Wisdom has been attained.
Nerve cells that fire together, wire together.
The neuronet is reinforced. The more we use associative memory and repetition in a certain manner, the more we develop the neuronet in that particular manner.
Nerve cells that don’t fire together don’t wire together.
If we interrupt the process of the program, and break the pattern of memory that initiates the program, the nerve cells will loose their long term relationship. They will break away, and no longer fire together. The connections are no longer there, and our perception of changes. That is the basis of Gestalt Therapy.
Reverse Firing
Instead of the external environment causing brain stimulation, cerebellum sends pictures to frontal lobe. Internal observation stimulates the neurons.
Unintentionally creating reality – a program is running based on external stimuli.
Intentionally creating reality – the self as the dominating observer is creating a program based on internal stimuli.
INTERNAL STIMULI
Frontal Lobe – is the tuner of the radio. Domain of intention. As you focus on the object of desire, the frontal lobe causes a picture that rewires the brain accordingly.
Cerebellum – is the antenna of the radio. Receives frequency from the frontal lobe. Accesses infinite intelligence that exists outside of space and time.
Midbrain – is the speaker of the radio. Produces the emotional output that prepares the body for transition to the new reality environment.
Focusing on your desire => Creates the neuronet patterns => Causes you to take action to attain the desire => Causes the desire to actualize in physical reality.
PHYSICAL AWARENESS
In a 1995 experiment, people with a demobilized ankle due to injury were tested.
The test measured their brain’s neuronet.
The motor and sensory network in the brain associated with the ankle shrunk.
If the person without mobilizing the foot puts his awareness on the foot, the motor and sensory networks become alive and grow.
At what point do the connections dissociate?
If we are able to see the world on a subatomic level or even a string level, all we are going to see is empty space everywhere.
All the solids including our physical body would be immaterial. There would be no more boundaries separating one physical object from the other.
Therefore, on a subatomic level or string level, when you shift your awareness to your foot, the atoms in your foot might remain intact, but the subatomic particles that pass through atoms and all physical objects are stimulated.
Everything around your foot is affected.
Tests are beginning to prove that we can shift our awareness to anything and affect it on a subatomic level.
If you are driving, see somebody in an accident, and send good thoughts to that person, you are affecting that person.
The scale at which we are affecting the reality around us is so inconceivably small, that we cannot see it.
EXPERIMENT
Napoleon Hill’s son was born with no ears.
Doctors said that obviously without the physical organs to hear, there would be no way his son would ever hear.
Napoleon Hill said that his son would gain the ability hear, and the doctors told him it wouldn’t happen.
After years of prayer for four hours each day as his frontal lobe focused on his son’s hearing, his son eventually regained 100% of his hearing.
“Effects of Group Practice of the Transcendental Meditation Program on Preventing Violent Crime in Washington, DC.”
Institute of Science and Technology
Washington D.C.
June 7 to July 30, 1993
Washington DC has had the highest crime rate in the world in 1993.
Four thousand participants meditated together everyday with the focus to lower the crime rate.
The dependent variable in the research was weekly violent crime, as measured by the Uniform Crime Report program of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The experiment was reviewed by a 27-member independent board consisting of:
Sociologists
Criminologists
City police representatives.
Local government representatives.
Civic Leaders
Dr. Masaru Emoto - Chief of the Hado Institute, Tokyo.
-Experimented with small amounts of water such as water in a small glass and large bodies of water such as water in dams.
-Different water samples from the same source change state based on focused intentions through thoughts, spoken words, written words, and music.
-Using powerful microscopes in cold temperatures and high-speed photography equipment he was able to photograph the water molecules.
-Water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns.
-Polluted water, or water exposed to negative thoughts, forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors.
-His experiment in 1999 significantly changed the state of the polluted Lake Biwa in Japan.
MUSTARD SEED
The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.
Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants and becomes a tree with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.
Telekinesis, reality manipulation, magic, voodoo, mind over matter, call it what you will.
I call it quantum physics.
