Nero can't detect iso file;why?

    I was trying to burn an image file(of an OS) with Nero(version 6,I think). The "Disk image or saved project" options could not even detect the iso file.I wonder why!

    I actually managed to burn the file with BurnCDCC and it had no problem detecting it. But I am just curious,why couldn't Nero detect that iso file as a valid image file? Any ideas?

    I assume you've already done a search for the old tutorials and old posts in tech forums on the web about how to burn an ISO file with Nero 6? There were probably people still asking about this subject at least till 2007. Since I don't even remember what version 6 was like, I can't offer comparisons with it and the bloated later versions like 9, etc. Those might or might not be easier.
