Seemingly sciforums has been hit by a lot of Negativity recently. How I mean is with the topics of threads like "Sciforums member collapse? (http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=61604)", "I resign as Moderator (http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=61556)", "Bye. (http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=61597)" just to name a few.
It's of course the last day of the year for some (others have already transgressed into the New Year) and it's always the same, a changing point for some, reflection of their past year with thoughts on if they have achieved their goals etc. Sometimes it causes depression when they realise their goals haven't been met and it can sway their perception of all those things that they've done instead of achieving them (namely for some posting at Sciforums).
However it should be known to some they might decide it's an End, but to yet others still it's a new Beginning. We might have a few new members appear everyday, but I'm sure that number would rise if the current membership was more supportive and less negative.
I guess what I'm tying to say is perhaps it's time to try and balance those negative posts out by posting about what you *like* at/about sciforums, you never know some of you members that feel warn, cold and neglected might start to enjoy this place again with a fresh zest.
I guess I'll finish my post with a Post-Happy New Year, just incase I miss that magic hour in what ever corner of the globe you reside in.
