I recently aquired a 105 mm Howitzer shell casing. I've decided to turn it into a beer mug with which I can swing about in the air while hollering "Let's roll!" and grabbing my small, white prick.
However, I'm afraid that the brass will spoil the taste of my cheap, American suds. Does anyone know of a do-it-yourself method to coat the inside of the shell with some sort of polymer?

You are worrying unnecessarily over a false premise.
I've tried American beer and its not possible to make such cats piss taste worse. If anything the metallic aftertaste can only improve the impact on your taste buds.
Besides, beer is served so cold that your taste buds are generally anesthetised anyway.

Hilariously genius, Roman.
So no one has any ideas?
Clue + plastic bag.
But any polymer you may use have a problem. Once you damage it, it becomes useless. Maybe cover it with some other metal? Aluminium?

There is a risk of brass poisoning. There are scant sources for subject on the web, but you might find this to be useful. (http://www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51660&view=next&sid=414afccbf46bca2596bcf39f2e1dd106)

good ole candle wax is good, just give it a dunking in some boiling wax and wait for it to set.

What about some kind of spray-on lacquer, or an enamel? You can find it at almost any store. Though I don't know if it is safe. It might dissolve in the beer and give you worse poisoning than brass can do.

coat it with poly-urethane, or if you could find some kind of spray plastic coating, although they're pretty much the same thing
