After playing around with it I figured out how the coder did it. Only if I felt like it, I would make one too.

It only works in Internet Explorer. This script is similar to one I did back in college to have a couple dots follow the mouse pointer around as it moved. well, here's the code he used (view source), it appears to be simple HTML and Javascript 1.2: edit: the forums keep trying to execute the code instead of displaying it, so instead of me posting it, just go to the site, and select the "View" menu, then select "source", and you can see all the code used.
Seen one of these a while ago. It is neat and a nice use of JavaScript...but somewhat useless for the amount of work poured into it. It would look better as a component of a web site rather than a mouse trail. Mouse trails should be nothing but arrows, hands and hourglasses.
there is a clock in some online gadget store (thinkgeek maybe) that displays the time in binary, good for showing off in front of the non binarians
