Lucy, your point is well taken BUT you need a reality check. I happen to be white and have several close black friends. The issue of race never comes up in our conversations EXCEPT for things like the Campbell thing AND the fact that far too many blacks try to play the race card every day. My black friends hate that! They say that those idiots are doing nothing but holding back progress, all in the name of saying "poor me - I'm black and everyone takes advantage of me." They all agree (and me, too) that there is still a lot of work to be done but they say that people like Al Sharpton, Spike Lee, Campbell, and others like them, are MUCH more of a negative influence than a positive one.
