Ha Ha, this is the first time that I've ever seen a political AD like this. I think this Oregon Senator is playing this extremely smart. He's using the Obamamania to his advantage. Pretty slick if you ask me.

Gordon Smith always does this, it's offensive. He knows the Oregon/Portland metro area is very liberal, so he tacks to the left come election time, although he voted with Bush 90% of the time.

Reminds me of the time Guiliani endorsed Cuomo for governor over Pataki (the Republican nominee). He felt pretty stupid when Pataki won.
