Yeah, I went to the Bright Eyes show last night. It was very relaxed, people just sitting around and standing, but not really packed together. Too much cigarette smoke, and some people just talked throughout the set, which was disappointing.

They played 12 songs in the main set and an encore of three. I only have the new album, and I recognized maybe four songs in the set. About half of the songs were done with the full band, and the other half were just done with Colin and his beautiful Taylor acoustic dreadnought. Everyone in the band was drinking on stage, kind of funny.

A pretty good show, but not exceptional. I'd pay the $15 or so to see Bright Eyes if they drop through your area.

Oh, and tonight I'm going back to the same venue to see a show with what's bound to be a completely different vibe.
