Yes but first you need to get some tools, here is a list:

    • 1 crowbar
    • 1 hammer
    • a box of nails
    • a saw
    • and finally a vacuum cleaner

now use your crowbar to open the cabinet and locate your floppy drive, when found use the saw to extract the unit cutting any cables attaching it to you motherboard and power supply, when extracted, close the cabinet again using your nails and hammer and clean up with the vacuum.

then go buy and USB Memory stick.

if you really need to boot to dos mode

get all the old dos boot file (google 98 boot disk)
    get HP's USB tool
Format the usb key with HP tool making it bootable(why you need the bootfiles)

note: sub 1GB sticks are best

if you lucky you can put the drivers on your stick and windows install might find then on boot, you can also try slipstreamming with something like http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html

I usually find if my Floppy Drive isn't working is down to connecting the cable up the wrong way round. Either that or the cable is disattached. (It can happen while messing around with the RAM or hard-drive Cables)
