in Korean! And i don't know Korean :D It's a great show though, it's called "Emperor Wang Guhn". On the multicultural channel. It's a historical/drama type show, all about Korea and how it was split in Three Kingdoms, its set in 934 AD. There's horses, armor, catapults, its really cool. Anybody else ever seen this?

Yes, I've enjoyed the Emperor Wang Guhn epic. I started in the middle of the story when my TV reception improved enough to read the subtitles. Now I'm watching the beginning of the series presented in a different timeslot.
The story has drawn me into Korean history and learning a bit of the language. However, WOUNDAKA (Charage, attack) has limited usage...
Dawn of the Empire is the follow-up. It starts with the death of Wang Guhn followed by the coronation of his eldest son. But all is not well in the kingdom. The son is too ill to govern. At the moment there is alot of palace intrique, not much humor and no terrific fight scenes.
Regretably since Dawn is only on 2 nights instead of 5, the story seems somewhat sluggish. I have looked at some KBS Videos of the show but been stymied without subtitles.
Cheers

Yeah, i've tried to watch Dawn of the Empire but i just haven't gotten into it. I still try to catch reruns of Wang Guhn though.
Another Korean so i've been watching comes on pretty late here, 12am. Its like a soap opera i guess, it's called "To be with you". It's kinda cool.
You've taken up learning Korean? More power to ya. I've tried learning asian languages but, i dunno. Seemed difficult compared to Indoeuropean languages, plus, Korean a nd Japanese are only really used in.. Korean and Japan. I'd like to learn Taggalog though, or Malay maybe.

I liked "The Files of Young Kindaichi" in Japanese. :) It originated from a comic book about a high schooler solving mysteries, and the television show was awesome. Also this Japanese show...the title translates into "Under One Roof", and it was about the 1990s or 1980s when it came out. Pretty funny. :)

Yeah, foreign shows rock. Especially shows where we don't know one BIT of the language the show's in..it makes the show more appealing.:D
