I am curious if people can live in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious State. If they are prepared to admit that we are all equal regardless of race, ethnicity or religion. Or differences are so large now, that the idea of a single State is a utopia. No direct link with the EU, which is only one example of a multi-ethnic Union.If will join and Turkey, it will be also multi-religious. I personally I could live in a world without borders and a unified legal system. There are also others like me? You agree to extend the European Union under a different name,to allow membership for any State in this Union? You agree to be affiliated in this Union? You could live in a State where no matter race, ethnicity or religion? If so, why? If not, why?
The end result is always an attempt at empire, which will always creates sections of dissatisfaction that attack it from the inside. Better to remain independent nation states to preserve thier own cultures and identities. There is nothing historically wrong with this model whereas the EU is dysfunctional and corrupt as was the Soviet Union.
