Had the interesting idea to google him, since I was thinking about a crossover into the universe. I was amazed at what I saw. There was even a rumor that Arnold would play him in a recent movie. Like that would work. Doc doesn't have an Austrian accent.

My older brother introduced me Doc Savage a long time ago, but I haven't heard the name in a long time. I have a vague memory of seeing a Doc Savage movie that wasn't very good...has there already been one made?
Anyone who's read one of the books would know that Arnold doesn't fit the role, it would be cool if they make a decent, non-arnold, movie though.

That's what I said. I've heard in several places the movie made, I think, in the '70s, was crap. Not even worth borrowing. We had a couple dozen of the '50s pulp novels in the house, it was very interesting the things the people thought up at the time. Doc even had a rail gun, nothing like the things we see today, but it was there.

From what little I remember of it, I think the actor in that old movie really looked the part, if nothing else, and they made Doc have superman-like powers, which I don't believe he had in the novels
