Does anyone know of movies which explain the universe (prefferably with nice images of starclusters and nebulas. Also are they downloadable (people here seem to be getting somewhat interrested in astronomie and wheater prevents me from showing them through the scope).
well i have seen many programmes on the universe and they show some pictures of the solar system and out side the solar system. these programs are "The Final Frontier", and another one was called the "Universe", they showed lots of pictures of the clusters and other system in the solar system. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
"The Final Frontier" is among the greatest educational TV series I have seen so far, but I'm sure there are others. Star Treck has many true facts regarding astrophysics and such, but you shouldn't believe everything as it is a fictional TV series (oh, what surprise!).
Check out the Cosmos TV series by Carl Sagan, it's excellent. Though, if you're looking for spectacular pictures, it was pre-hubble, so not too many. Still, can't be beat for explaining the universe in an interesting way. I just checked and the episodes are downloadable with WinMX.
I have what you want fantastic animation, great graphics tv series by BBC check the net for BBC SPACE there are 6 parts of it the content didn't surprise me, because I knew all of it before, but the graphics were breathtaking here's direct a link http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/space/spaceguide/space_prog/index.shtml Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
