I have often heard that everything is in a state of constant movement. And working with the principle that things only happen because they have to I ask why does everything move?

What causes a particle to vibrate constantly?

Is it because of eccentricity?
What keeps it moving?
Is it because still-ness is impossible to achieve?

in short: the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle. for something to be completely motionless, it would have to have a completely indeterminate position.
