Many of us are students here.
How do you motivate yourself to get your work done and not procrastinate, such as sciforums ?

I am in that situation with my 12 yr old son. He sits to do homework and gets up every few minutes, to do nothing really. Ohhh I need a drink, I just gotta check something, starts play fighting with his brother etc. It is very hard for me to keep him there and focus just on his homework.

Just kidding with you, it is hard to overcome but if you discipline yourself and try to make a time slot for when you feel the best to study, that would be very helpful. Do stuff for awhile but after awhile just put what you are doing aside and work on your homework. Do that every night after you have had your fun with TV and games. At least devote 2 hours to study every night or day, whenever you can make that much time available.

I need to devote 4 hours as it's my last year.
Before, one or two hours was sufficient, but my teacher reckons I was just coasting on "talent". I doubt that however.
