Just caught this thread and it's kind of poignant for me because I basically joined to stretch myself in the intellectual department ( so far, so good, I'm learning plenty).

And being new, I haven't had a real chance to work out who the big brains around town are and they probably post in threads I'm not even interested in.

Generally ( with a few notable exceptions, who are too dumb to even realise who they are) the intelligence level seems really high.
There appear to be some completely manic fruitcakes around too, and some high horse riders but it's an interesting place.

what I find interesting is the different manifestations of intelligence, some are so linear in their thinking it's just scary, not to mention tunnel visioned. I'm much more drawn to the likes of Spuriousmonkey and Shichimenshyo whose succinct humour I find irresistable.

Really, too many smart cookies to mention.

And as for myself, I sure won't be making top I.Q lists but I reckon I'm more balanced than some.
