This guy has some pretty good lyrics that make you think, while delivered in a style that I have never heard before. Listen you might like it.

I don't know what sucked more. The fact it took about 10 minutes to load or the song itself.

I guess I am used to different style. We all are different and same at the same time.
true, the link you provided is in my ears quite bad :)
JewJitsu 03-07-07, 03:20 PM Mos Def
I hope that he has a successful career as a physicist, because it is highly unlikely that he will have a successful career as a rapper. His lyrics are too sophisticated for the American public. There are very few successful rappers with his level of intelligence. (Chuck D, Mos-Def, Talib Kweli, and a few other people) The rappers that I just mentioned made enough money to experience a comfortable upper middle class life style in America, but they could never have the album sales of someone like 50 cents.
Intelligent rap will never outsell nigger ignorance. What is nigger ignorance? Nigger ignorance is the African American version of the stereotypical trailer park white trash redneck American. Nigger ignorance is about embracing the violence in American culture. Nigger ignorance is all about keeping it real. (Real dumb) Nigger ignorance is all about bling, guns, and hoes.

nicholas1M7 03-07-07, 07:48 PM I got my boy SUMANTIX coming from Toronto. He's on his way up and I knew him back in high school. He's always been a sick freestyler doing up the jungle scene since 98 and one of the best white lyricists in Ontario today. He's a genius.

You know the Beastie Boys are Jewish?
You know the Beastie Boys are Jewish?THAT kind of Jewish is fine. It's the zionist settler/apartheid lovin, judeofascist Israeli brand of Jewish I reject.
I had a crush on the Beasties lead singer when that Fight for the Right to Paaarrrrty song hit MTV.:o
Free_Matt_417 03-07-07, 07:59 PM I think Tu-pac was the most intelligent rapper.
He could actually play music, and knew shit about it.
He went to a music school and all:P
And this coming from someone who dosent like rap
Free_Matt_417 03-07-07, 08:05 PM At age 12, Shakur enrolled in Harlem's famous "127th Street Ensemble." His first major role with this acting troupe was as Travis in A Raisin in the Sun. In 1984, his family relocated to Baltimore, [9] After completing his sophomore year at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School he transferred to the Baltimore School for the Arts, where he studied acting, poetry, and jazz. He performed in Shakespeare plays and in the role of the Mouse King in The Nutcracker.[10] Tupac, accompanied by one of his friends, Dana "Mouse" Smith, as his beatbox, won most of the many rap competitions that he participated in and was considered to be the best rapper in his school.[11] Although he lacked trendy clothing, he was one of the most popular kids in his school because of his sense of humor, superior rapping skills, and ability to mix in with all crowds.[12] He developed a close friendship with a young Jada Pinkett (later Jada Pinkett Smith) that lasted until Shakur's death. In the documentary Tupac: Resurrection, Shakur says, "Jada is my heart. She will be my friend for my whole life," and Smith calls Shakur "one of my best friends. He was like a brother. It was beyond friendship for us. The type of relationship we had, you only get that once in a lifetime." A poem written by Shakur titled "Jada" appears in his book, The Rose That Grew From Concrete, which also includes a poem dedicated to Smith called "The Tears in Cupid's Eyes".

I have a Marky Mark CD.
Redefine91 03-07-07, 08:30 PM Cise Starr from cyne takes this boy to school
nicholas1M7 03-08-07, 01:03 PM TIX GOT THE LOO LOCKED!
Who's this Starr he's been around before 2003 and I never heard about him. Sumantix started in 2003. I heard some of his stuff on youtube. Its okay, but it aint that original dude.
Redefine91 03-08-07, 02:56 PM Cise Starr has 2 things on youtube, I've checked. If you don't like him then try Binary Star.
Tupac was a hipporcitical idiot. He talked about the plight of the negro and how the white man was keeping him down. He passionately talked about racism in america. Great
Then what does he do?
He puts his people back again by making videos dropping nigger every other bar, talking about the ever popular womanizing culture of rappers, and basically just shows himself to be engaging in and enjoying all the things he said the white man sterotyped him to like.
nicholas1M7 03-08-07, 04:48 PM You critique a rapper by his messages? Well, that's news to me.
Yes you can argue that 2 Pac was hypocritical at times, but this doesn't change the ever-lasting impression he left as a lyrical poet of the highest caliber.
I sense that you see him as having failed as a man who practices what he preaches. But really, how much do you know about him?
I also sense that you know less than you lead me to believe about 2Pac. I would think that a good 90% of his fans don't endorse his every action, but rather just listen to the songs for the originality and rhythm.
I heard Cise sing on youtube last night and he seems to be no more original than other underground rappers like KRS1... Is he decent? Yes. He has a good instrumental group and a pretty nice flow.
Lord Hillyer 03-08-07, 10:19 PM 'most intellligent rapper out there?'
that isn't much of a laurel.
there are no, most important and least important people in this world. We all are equal, we all are important.

Not by itself. But when you consider my buddy had the fastest beep test and mile in gym class despite his being a smoker (how'd that work anyway? I challenge the best physiologists to figure that one out), it becomes all the more impressive. Not to mention his record holdings and degrees.

Kendall 03-11-07, 10:38 PM I do not know who would be the most intelligent but I would thing that the more people that can identify with what you are rapping about would put you up the scale.

I'd say Mr. Lif is the most intelligent rapper out there http://www.mrlif.com/, http://www.adultswim.com/williams/music/defswim/mp3s/08_Lif_red-october-clean.mp3 lyrically at least.
As far as who is the most intelligent academically, thats anyones guess. Some rappers have degrees, so I'd say there are some highly intelligent artists out there. However most rappers, even the ones who go to college, don't complete school if they are actually successful in the music business. Why would you rush to get a degree if you are getting rich selling music?
TimeTraveler 03-13-07, 01:37 AM I think Tu-pac was the most intelligent rapper.

Tupac was of average intelligence I'd say, but he was extremely talented. I think he was a better actor than Will Smith, and would have been like an Al Pacino if he had stayed alive, but he also hung out with the wrong crowd, and all the talent in the world wont help you if you have bad ass gangster friends.
I respect what Tupac was trying to do, but if he were really the most intelligent rapper of all time he'd still be alive.
