Animals learn; they adapt to their environments.... most animals are not as dumb as people often think.


Have you seen squirrels getting at nuts before... those guys are clever. Or cats opening doors etc.

Yesterday I observed 2 small birds lurking around our swimming pool. Every so often they flew, skimming the water and picking out dead insects to eat; easy pickings. Last year, when our pool was new, some birds used to skim it in flight just to drink water, if they flew in from the south some crashed into our mirrored French doors and knocked themselves out. After a few weeks they learnt the folly of their ways and sice then they fly in from the East.
