Bush adviser suggests Dems wanted to 'offer therapy' to attackers. After reading this i wanna just puke. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8324598/
Look mikasa11, you are totally overreacting. If we had not gone straight to war, then we may not have captured Osama Bin Laden, he may have remained at large even till today!!! It's a proven method. That's why we rushed into "war" with Iraq, because if we hadn't, we may never have found all the WMD's they had, see?
in voting, 3 days after 9/11 both parties were united to authorize Bush to use any force necessary to act against the perpetrators. but after the vote, everything the flaming liberals were doing was to obstruct and try to ruin the effort. Rove's remarks were soft, non-wacky, and right on target. the democrats are just splitting hairs to find ANYthing that republicans say to offset Durbin's and Dean's outrageous remarks: "see? you have crazy people too in your party!" and how about Nader's retardation?
Hmm, yes, year and a half long rush to war. I'm amazed you remembered to bring your helmets, what with all the willy-nilly chaos and blind confusion.
What Durbin and Dean have said are absolutely right, the things going on in Guantanimo are not unlike the actions of a police state like Nazi Germany, and the GOP is pretty much a white Christian party. They squandered the trust of the American people by losing focus on the war on terror in order to fufill a long-held wet dream- to loot Iraq.
Nothing the democrats have done obstructs or ruins the effort to pursue Al Quida and Osama Bin Laden. In fact, their complaint is that the Iraq adventure has undermined our efforts to get the real terrorists, made us less safe, and resulted in the unnecessary deaths of more than 1700 American soldiers.
I love the idea of the whitest guy from the whitest state accusing other people of being too white. Where's the Dem equivalent of Condi or Colin? Do I need to make a list of non-whites who've risen to prominence within the Republican part? I know! Let's ask Byrd! I bet he's kept list of these things. And Clinton, the first "black" President. How many actual blacks were in his cabinet? Does anybody know?
Let me repeat that. House slaves don't count. Do you even know how prejudiced that sounds? Are you a Byrd supporter? Is Trent Lott the only Republican you'd consider voting for? You've got some fucking nerve claiming to be on the side of American blacks. Saying the NAACP is the only acceptable representation for blacks is like saying that the AFL-CIO is the only acceptable representation for working people. Which is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
House slaves don't count. is slogans the best you can do? a black person making it into the highest ranks of the party and the administration is somehow still considered a slave? what you're saying is that they're slaves if they don't agree with YOU or the democratic party. i guess they're defective, otherwise they'd be in the democratic party... (?) calling Condi and Colin slaves is the equivalent of Ralph Nader calling himself a n*gger. it's just complete nonsense Why doesn't Bush meet with the NAACP? why doesn't someone ask him?
I'm saying that the blacks that have made it in the Republican party have sold out. Condi doesn't seem to have a brain of her own, and Colin is definitely taking it up the pooper. He didn't agree with the Iraq intel, but went to the UN anyway with his little vial of baking powder. I guess they decided that pandering to the evangelicals was enough for them. Wouldn't want to actually have to do something for the poor.
being the secretary of state you're supposed to represent the President's stand on things. Albright or whoever it was under Clinton, was doing exactly the same thing, which happens to be in her job description. now, answer this: if a black person gets to be so high up, does that mean he sold out? (all of them... including Alberto Gonzales, who is from another minority) or does it mean that the party's ideology appeals to them? and they didn't come from a void. they have their constituents from their communities who support them. calling Condi a house slave is a cheap racist non-argument and i'm saying that as someone who strongly disagrees with her about an issue or 2
