Everyone rejoice, new processor cores for old socket motherboards. Though...... I'm not really a big fan of motherboards that aren't revised, but still....

I really love the P3's with the Tualatin cores; if you are not going to go DDR, that is undoubtably the best choice; at the same clock speed, I believe they outbench marked Athlons with the Thunderbird core. You could buy a new PC and save some money buy skipping DDR I would imagine.

Then of course, there was Intel foolishness with their original P4's There cores are so much bigger compared to AMD processor; maybe that's why they don't perform as well (no advanced technology in there small parts, micron devices http://community.sierra.com/Images/emoticons/shrug.gif )
