one day the ground monitors are unable to contact anybody on board. Months later a rescue crew makes contact on board, The lone surviving Woman Astronaught is found incoherent and malnourished and babeling about a "grey man". Clues are hard to find and the subsequent investigation tests the limit of "Derk Macbrein" the only Astronaught/CrimeScene technician in NASA in his efforts to solve this latest mystery at the KSC.
:eek:
And I am willing to bet real money that Couples are and have been doing in space and on the ground for Decades in the "Race for the Moon!":bugeye:

This is somewhat similar to the premise of the first episode of the late lamented TV series Starcops;
http://www.tliva.freeserve.co.uk/starcops.htm
meanwhile in space, a worker leaves the airlock of the Charles De Gaul space station. Within minutes, both are dead!

The 'drowning' is given to the investigative team run by Chief Superintendent Nathan Spring. He thinks there is something 'wrong' with it and orders an investigation. In space, Inspector David Theroux is worried that too many people are dying of 'Suit-Failure'.

Springs' boss thinks he is spending too much money and is pushing Nathan to move on. In consequence Nathan is short-listed for the job of I.S.P.F. Commander. He arrives at the Charles de Gaul, only this time, the victim is a prominent eurocrat. Nathan must solve the case, even though his job, his relationship and even his life may be on the line! Starcops had many features so often missing from present day TV Sci-Fi; realistic technology, zero gravity on board ship, realistic mysteries to be solved. It also had a pretty low budget, just like every old UK sf programme.
