View Full Version : Minesweeper best times
beginner: 23 seconds.
Anyone did better? It would be very possible, since I don't play it intuitively enough. To get a time of 15 or maybe even 10 seconds average, you will need pattern recognition abilities.
ps: this is not a hobby of mine :)
Well on a custom field I got 1 second once =D
Don't know my time for beginner, haven't played it in forever, too old school for me =P
spacemanspiff 01-10-03, 04:59 PM once i decided to spend my afternoon trying to lower my time.
after sitting at my computer for quite some time, out of pure luck I scored about 7s on beginner. that was pretty much a fluke. on average i could get around 25s on that level.
Captain_Crunch 01-12-03, 03:50 PM Beginner 10secs.
Screenshot to prove im not talking crap:
Yes, but it is your average time which is interesting, cause the mines can reveal themselves in two clicks when lucky.
Only the skill part is interesting.
Captain_Crunch 01-12-03, 04:11 PM 10 - 15 average
grazzhoppa 01-12-03, 04:56 PM Begineer- 17 seconds
Intermediate- 107
Expert- Never beaten it, though I've tried and tried :(
beginner - 9
intermediate/advance - its kicking my ass right now... but i'm figuring out the mine placement algorithm
fadingCaptain 01-14-03, 04:30 PM I can't remember my times its been awhile but...
I had a friend that played so much it was sick. He got to where he could do intermediate in something ridiculus. I think it was thirty something seconds. He was like rain man...he would start playing and you couldn't help but watch him with a mixture of awe and pity.
notPresidentAndrew 01-14-03, 06:35 PM Begginer: 4 seconds
Intermediate: 35 seconds
Expert: 125 seconds
I developed an addiction to that damn game. Now I am addicted to online pool.
ElectricFetus 01-15-03, 10:45 AM I have done it in 0 sec thanks to a cheat ;) :D
fastest time on beginner is three secs. like ten on intermediate, an on advanced, I think twetny. It sounds alittel out there, but I used to play it all the time.

Eventually they will create a cheat that claims negative seconds. Soon people will be saying "I beat it in -12 secs!" Of course this will violate the laws of physics. ;)
ElectricFetus 01-15-03, 12:53 PM that cheat wouild not be hard to make... heck just make it count time in negatives in that case a score of -999 sec in beginer is GOOD.
fabiodf 10-11-05, 03:55 PM I finished the beginner in 6 seconds, the intermediate in 40 and the expert in 95. I think it's not too bad at all
kenworth 10-11-05, 06:11 PM take a walk,read a book,talk to a friend.
..disarm some mines in Vietnam :D
kazbadan 10-12-05, 11:46 AM begginer: 6secs, only played that level.
6secs some times, not only once :D
Back when I was young and stupid, I thought I was good doing Beginner in 7, Intermediate in 47, and Expert in 137 (the stupid thing is that I can still remember the times!). Thank God I didn't waste more time on it than I did.
These people are nuts.

RubiksMaster 10-14-05, 01:52 PM I'm not as fast as some of you: 11 seconds on beginner about 5 years ago. In the 400s for expert. I never really did much with intermediate.
kazbadan 10-14-05, 02:45 PM btw, even being a good record, i must say that i only played mines during 2 days (maybe 3). and only some minutes per day.
i have a life :)
curioucity 10-15-05, 02:07 AM I was lucky to get 9 seconds in beginner
Never beat the expert, and forgot the time for intermediate
6 seconds Beginner
38 Intermediate
350 approx Expert
I hate Expert !!!! Especially when your stuck in a position that provides absolutely no information about the location of the mines in cluster. Hate it when its up to chance.
