View Full Version : Microsoft self spam?
curioucity 08-19-04, 04:01 AM Hello
It's about my IE. Currently, it periodically set its own homepage to www.msn.com even though I have set it to blank over and over. Any idea why this happens?
Thanks:)
§outh§tar 08-19-04, 07:59 PM do you set it to blank in tools >> internet options? or do you do the right click thing and go to properties?
curioucity 08-21-04, 03:15 AM I set it via Tools->Options, then use Blank. Frankly, I don't understand about the right click thing... where can I click?

curioucity 08-21-04, 03:12 PM Kunax, thanks, but Firefox is already my new browser now, thanks:P I think you suggested it a few days ago.. or maybe at least you saw someone suggested it to me:)
rGEMINI 08-21-04, 06:34 PM Firefox is nice, but i still love opera personally
Firefox has a tendency to freeze up on me. It's still better than IE... but some companies pages lock the damn thing up:(
curioucity 08-21-04, 11:29 PM Well, it happens quite often too (sluggish/freeze-prone Firefox), so I often alternate between IE and Firefox on browsing.
Oh, about my IE, looks llike it's been fixed... so far (it's now always blank when started up). I don't know what causes this, maybe my installing MSNMessenger 6.2 is aone cause....

Personly i have never had problems with FF, except for some java, IE specifik thingies, FF can be slughis in thies events, but overall its IMO faster.
curioucity 08-28-04, 11:28 AM Well, my Firefox often run sluggishly at occasion, freezes even.... bad...
Oh, and the self-spam problem returns... AAARGH!!! I hate this....
have you notices if FF is sluggish on specifik sites only, if so care to post link to said sites
curioucity 09-07-04, 11:57 PM Hello
I just found out a possible thing that causes my IE to always set its homepage to msn.com.... I was playing around with Lavasoft and stumbled upon an option on default IE homepage-> www.msn.com and I just go "Whoa?". I've set it blank, and I'll just see what's going to happen next.
