I just heard today that good 'ol Jacko's new album, Invincible has been postponed even further.

I wondered if people really, truly care anymore??

Michael Jackson has been gone so long that the public really has no interest in him, at all. For that point also, he has nothing to sing about. Of course, what would he sing about if no one was being mean to him....

this coupled with the fact that the folks over at Epic decided he had to redo invincible because it was so bad...

    Oh no.

Of corse people care, why would they else insist on doing covers of his old songs?
DonĀ“t be so negative Piffi, it will come back to you.

    Good, old Michael....

Hey Piffi, don't be so pesimistic, old Michael will sing his 'old' songs for a very long time

Who can forget old Michael, with his REAL face and curly hair

It's a pity he has changed so much in his face, there is nothing to change anymore, haha, maybe he doesn't like that.....
He can be hooked on these operations....and now there are no anymore

Untill his face starts to melt away, haha, I am so sorry, I must laugh about good old Michael, it's too silly, all those operations.
Everybody knows what he really looks like, in the early day's when Michael just began to be a star.

But whatever, he has made some good music, danceble music even

It's a shame it has gone that way with him, he's a good dancer and he made some good songs.......

I wasn't trying to say anything abd about his old songs; I think they were great. However, there came a point where he took a turn. Up until Thriller, he was just a guy who loved to sing and dance and make music. However, once Thriller became such a success, he changed. That's when he started the plastic surgery.

I think he didn't expect thriller to be so big. I guess he thought his other music would always be compared to it, and wanted to find some way to have a 'new Michael' making the new songs. In his little head, I guess that would have made him more successful, and happier

. to us, it made him a freak.

I just don't think he has the musical stamina to keep doing albums. He was working on 'Invincible' for 2 years. After he showed to the execs, they forced him to redo everything....

    I'm sure that says something...

    Poor Michael......

I think you are right Piffi, til Thriller all went well and then at once he had a mega-, megahit.
Yeah, maybe at that time he began thinking how he could change himself and maybe even his music, just to make an album as good as Thriller

Poor, poor Michael, he slowly has melted away because of all his surgery's.....I hope he is, at least, a little happy now, but I wonder

You know, I really think it's a pity, he's always been a good singer and a good dancer....he has millions of dollars.....but if he is happy??.....Nobody seems to know. I think it's a little sad.
So famous and so alone....or isn't he??
Who knows how it is with Michael Jackson nowaday's??
Please will you fill me in, because I am a little curious of what's happening to him nowaday's

    Thank you......

I thought his fortunes turned after he was accused of being a pedophile. Nobody wanted to take their kids to see his show anymore.

Yeah, hahaha....I have to laugh about it, but in fact it is sad, don't you think?? Such a famous singer and alone in his 'little Disney-land? House...But he has two children or not?? Well, he shall have nanny's to take care of the dipers and so

Think this nanny may be not too young then. If it is true....It's never been proven he was quilty

Well, I like his music, good to dance on and some ballads he made are very nice and I like them a lot. It's a pity he just was going a 'little' over the edge with his plastic surgery.
Why he did that I never understood, never will too I guess.

But he's loaded with money so he doesn't have to perform anymore if he doesn't want that.....it's a long time ago he was here, in the Netherlands.

And so I can go on for hours....think aloud, or in this case think writing, and I go on for hours, haha

But I loooooove music, man I am made through music, if I am writing it in understandable english you know what I mean.......

If I remember correctly, he paid the family to let the accusation drop.

As for music with lyrics, it's a sophisticated chant, an evolution of poetry, set to a musical scale. It's strange when you think about the human attraction to the verbal expression that is rhythmical. I view the rap stuff as a return to the more primitive form of campfire chanting.

Oh, you never listened to the lyrics of Pink Floyd or Roger Waters on his album 'Amused To Death' , then you'd know what I mean.

Lyrics are important yes, very important....
But it's also important to dance to some music which has a fine rhytm and 'dumb' lyrics....

I really love to dance, do it every day. On music from Hendrix, P. Floyd but also old Whamm and 'One Night In Bangkok' from Murray Head.
And Peter Gabriel with 'Sledgehammer' and so on and so on...hahaha
So much music, too much to mention all

Pink Floyd brings me down. I never could get into listening to him for any length of time. It's downer music. I can appreciate the thoughts conveyed, but each track gives the same message. I prefer something which offers at least a glimmer of hope.

    Hey, all ...

How come no one has mentioned Leonard Cohen?

I mean songs like 'Sisters of Mercy', 'Bird on a Wire', and "Susanne' have never been equaled.

Invicible will be interesting. People will listen, and be intrigued even if no one admits it.

MJ was a star for 25 years. People like that don't just fade away, or don't become intresting. Look at Clinton, he was popular eight years, and people love to talk about him.

In the great words of Kurt Cobain
' give me a Leonard Cohen afterworld,
    so I can sigh, eternally'
    Thats from Pennyroyal Tea.
On Michael Jackson, I think I know who he is, isn't he that white guy that married into Elvis's family to try and reboost his career but failed miserably.

Heard part of the album the other day

A coworker was listening to a preview of MJ's album via the net. If you're a Jackson fan with no aspirations of him breaking new ground, you'll probably enjoy the album as much as any other. If you're among the crowd that expects progress from an artist, don't waste your time or your hearing.

    thanx,
    Tiassa

    Hi All

I heard on the radio that MJ's label postponed the release and made him go back in to the studio due to the fact that the album was SO bad.

I have to admit it put a smile on my face.
