Thanks spuriousmonkey 04-22-07, 01:12 PM depends on the species. Avinash 04-22-07, 02:09 PM Hi ... thanks !!! I was looking for Human melotonin gene sequence Avinash 04-22-07, 02:15 PM Can someone pl. let me know about the sequence of human melotonin gene or in any phototrophic bacteria draqon 04-22-07, 02:15 PM black, white, grey different colors, same mind spuriousmonkey 04-22-07, 02:45 PM I can only see sequences of melatonin receptors on pubmed. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=search&DB=gene Avinash 04-22-07, 03:02 PM thank u.. how to interpret it.. what cud be the possible reason why its not found yet.. is that like a cluster of genes which synthesizes melatonin or???? Hercules Rockefeller 04-29-07, 09:42 PM There is no gene for melatonin because it is not a protein. Melatonin is produced from a precursor (tryptophan) by the enzyme 5-hydroxyindole-O-methyltransferase (for which there will be a gene). |
