Secret tapes have emerged in which Marilyn Monroe revealed she had a lesbian fling with actress Joan Crawford.
The tapes, which were made while Marilyn was having therapy, reveal that Monroe did not enjoy the experience.
The news was revealed by author Matthew Smith, who is currently writing a book on Monroe.
He said: "She described an intimate moment in some detail and told how she and Joan had sex."
Marilyn was heard saying: "I told her straight out I didn't much enjoy doing it with a woman. "After I turned her down she got spiteful."
Monroe also revealed how her second husband, baseball legend Joe DiMaggio, was a let-down in bed. She said: "Marrying him was a mistake. He wasn't that interested."

She's been dead now for over 50 years why not let her rest in peace? I'm certain most people here wouldn't remember her at all except for the name so most really don't care much about her any longer.

Undecided I got news for you. Lots of woman have lesbian flings. Many woman are really open about their sexuality and because they judge a lot of sex appeal on personality have less of a barrior have a same sex relationship than guys who put more emphasis on the physical.

acutally I bet it was about as prevelant in the 1950's too just not as open. Now you are going to make one of us did up the kinsley report to research this aren't you?

No I don't care all that much, and I doubt that the practice of homosexualy was a prevelant as it is now. Sure it happened, but not nearly to the extent of today.

It was an attention-grabber, but I don't get overly suprised over stuff like that. I'm suprised, however, that this kind of thing is such a big deal to so many people.

A sex scandal? That actually made it sound imporant, oh darn. It was most likely a fling, and nothing more. I don't know how it can be shocking or what not, mainly for the reason it happens so often and it's usually more uncommon for it NOT to happen. It just seems weird how it's only important when it's with someone in the entertainment buisness...[or politics]

Interesting When J M Keynes- who'd had homosexual sex up to then- married in his forties his wife Lydia Lopokova said she couldn't why anyone was a lesbian, but found male homosexuality understandable as they both had something to get hold of.
