Don't ban her!!!!

Ban her from other sections of the board, but not Free thoughts!!!!

Oh, and I think this is one of those times that my 'Cancelled' section would make sense, eh?

Try the ignore button then, for now!

No troll food is no troll " " "conversation" " "!

mark the ", for there's no such thing as a conversation going on...

Apparently the people at sciforums are far to stupid to use the ignore button. What, is it exceedingly complicated or something?

I can't seem to understand, how you are finding these flame wars exciting.. Certainly there are more entertaining things in life? More exciting games I mean... Like a philosophical conversation for ex. I hope you will grow up one day..

Now, I'll tell you about a real troll who disrupted a moderated board. Disrupting a unmoderated board is for weak little girls like Mal, this guy was banned three times before the webmaster banned his addy.
Know of another troll who encountered a more tolerent webmaster - said webmaster co-ordinates a time where everyone flames said troll, then times the banning so it can read said flames, but not respond to them.
The most vicious treatment of a troll was when a mod 'accidentally' let slip the troll's IP number, on a board that had oodles of crackers - just to give them a little practice.

Hmm, I thought I heard you say several times that I was a very good troll?

Oh yeah, the can't-respond-to-flames thing...what, is that supposed to be some great feat?

I've had my fill of moderated boards. I got banned from soccer.com and fanhome.com about ten times each. I'm just trying something new. And remember, this is the University of Waterloo Math Department. This is computer nerd central. I doubt anybody on this board could do anything these people couldn't fic.

As you know, this is temporary. Should the webmaster choose he could lodge a formal complaint with your university. Records of net communications would make it rather easy for your university to identify you. By your own admission, you have a history of such behavior. I think your university would frown on such behavior reflecting upon them and their establishment. I am sure that by your use of said equipment that you have agreed to some sort of usage limitations.

Good luck, should Porfiry choose to pursue it...

Sounds like you'll need to ban her IP.

Done.

Yah, that's great.

Actually, Adam came up with it some time back. He even had a thread about it before using it as his title.

http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6140&highlight=Presidente

http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6296&perpage=20&pagenumber=2

I did not spend the time to hunt the thread up but here are a couple where he refers to it.

Yay! Great job, Porfiry, that's TWO crisis'(pronounced crisees I think) that you've we, the sciforums community, have worked through, with your iron fist of justice. Well done!

It's too bad I couldn't use my war elephant though, now I have to take it back to "War Elephants R Us."

I'm pretty sure it was the Spanish that came up with "El Presidente", but whatever. I'm not going to try and take credit for the work of an entire culture (not just yet, that is).

And Pollux, keep that war elephant around. There's always villages that need to be razed.

Especially when the serfs get resltless. :D Nothin' like a war elephant to keep the peace. Find a pic and load it on here, Pollux. I wanna' looky at this war elephant. Must make sure you got your moneys worth.:p

Yeah, the serf's are getting a little rowdy.

This is my war elephant, Patsy. She enjoys peanuts, nice bull elephants, and razing petty villages at the King's orders. That's me on top, by the way.

Porfiry,

What did you do? With dynamic IPs it's practically impossible to block someone on a single IP address, so I assume you have blocked an entire subnet, is that correct?

There is no guarantee then that our annoying moron will not come back using a differrent subnet, is that right?

Cris

Yes, that is correct. However, I have sufficient reason to believe that this will not affect any other current sciforums users.

Joeman,

If you go to the same university, you should thank your friend. She/he has made certain that others there will not be able to enjoy the site from there through her/his activities.

It is a shame that some people get off on creating a ruckus for no other reason than they are not getting enough attention within the real world. Mallory Knox could have made a fine addition to the sciforums site if the attitude and actions had been different.

Her/his actions have spoken for themselves and others that could have enjoyed the site have had that privilage taken from them without knowing why. Nice friend...

Joeman

*sigh*

I can't do anything about it. I have as much control over her action as you do. I think she is bored between classes.

wet1
05-28-02, 03:24 PM
I understand. I guess I am just venting and truely realize it is not your fault. None of us are in control of another's actions.

Peace.

I still dont understand how an educated person can have so little class. I used to be a little shit-talking a**hole when I was young, but after maturing and learning more about he world, I have no need to be rude and mean to people. Especially ones I have never even met.

Take care

She is 18. Are you saying you were worse than you were 18? :D

18

Oh, that explains alot. But even when I turned 18, I wouldn't do something of that extent - and I have a serious attitude problem. Well, whatever floats your boat I guess.

Take care:)
