Can someone tell since the molecular formula for water is H20, Why does the earth not turn into a ball of water while the contact of abundant hydrogen and oxygen meet at air and sea surface?

Is is possible to fill up an airtight room with these two gases and it will tun into a tank?

    I just dont get it.
    TIA

    Because hydrogen is not abundant.
Composition of dry air at sea level:
    O2 20.95%
    H2 0.00005%

    No. The reaction requires activation.

    I just dont get it."
    Hope that helps.

You are not thinking the H2 in H2O can react twice are you?

Liquid hyrdogen and liquid oxygen is rocket fuel, yes? Isn't that what the space shuttle runs on?

    Guess what by-product it produces?
    Water.

    The reaction still requires activation."
