Hi, I'm new here, but I am having major problems doing anything on this site.

I am able to log in ok, but 99% of the time I am unable to make any posts. I keep getting a 'Not Logged In' screen when I try to reply, this even happens when I try to modify my profile or options.

When I go back to the home page, I notice that my Username and avatar have disappeared from the top right-hand corner of the page, yet my name still appears on the 'Who's online' list at the bottom of the page.

Even when I log out I still show up as online, this happens no matter which cookie option I choose.

As this is only the second time I have been able to get the 'new thread' page to activate, I may not be able to reply to any answers you post, but I would appreciate any advice on what may be going on.

Thanks in advance. :)

Wow, I managed to get the reply page!

I use Windows Explorer 5.5 and Windows ME. My computer is a 600Mz Intel, it is 18 months old. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Are you certain you've set your browser to accept cookies?

I belong to another board, Ascifi.com, that uses Vbulletin software, I also belong to TrekBBS - I don't have any trouble on those, it seems to be just this one.

When I posted the previous message above and returned to the home page the problem occured again.

did you kick it?

No haven't kicked it yet! :D

But the problem seems to be rectifying itself the more I come here and look around - very odd.

I am going to log out and come back in, to see if it is any better. :)

I got Windows XP Professional
Internet Explorer 6.0
1.5 ghz, 512mb ram

But seldomly..just out of the blue sometimes. You try to post a reply and it keeps telling you to enter your username and PW. Then when you do the reply doesn't get through.

It pisses me off. But then again I turn of my zonealarm and it works, then turn it back on.

I have a NAT Firewall, with Zonealarm, and a Windows XP built in fire-wall...who can hack that!!!!? hahahaha :D :D
