Someone gave me a computer..but they don't know the password to enter when you first turn it on...

So you turn it on and then it says 'enter password'

What can I do to get around this..? anything...?

As a SciForums member, I will tell you that is a BIOS password.
As a network administrator, I will not tell you how to get around it.
As a SciForums member I will tell you that you should now be able
to use Google to find your answer.

I had a guy at work rip the leads of his board while doing this, and then wondered why it didn't work. To top it off, he was an electrical engineer.
