Instead of 8 hours, with the help of this machine, you will be recharged in 2-3 hours. It uses transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

What if let's say 5 years from now anybody can buy a machine like that, and we will only need 3 hours sleep?

What would we do with that extra 5 hours???

It's times like this I wish we had a "gays only" subforum.

making sleep faster means adjusting to sleep pattern of individual human, individual REM waves pattern...which is def. not up to the task of current technology.

I am guessing these folks don't really dream

Well, it is not really sleeping faster, but the effect of it is similar. Basicly you feel sufficiently rested after 3 hours of sleep.

I guess mothers with babies could used it...

Man, I would buy one of these in a flash. I first thought it meant it puts you to sleep faster. Only makes you sleep faster. But if it could make someone fall asleep faster and give them the equivalent of restorative sleep quicker, than that would be something.

Actually even if we can sleep only for 3 hours, the rest of the time u will have to lie down for resting your body. See this is the reason we get dreams in the morning , ie. our brains had enough rest but not the body.

I didn't know we get dreams in the morning. I don't think so.

But still, we could use that extra 5 hours for reading or watching TV, and the other times when you are watching TV for something more productive....
