    Hello

I have a problem with my MSN here.
My PC runs in XP, and currently I'm using MSN Messenger 6. The problem is, not long ago, my system crashed so bad I had to reinstall it. When I finally managed to make everything work again, I found out that my MSN Messenger could no longer write kanji, even though it could before the crash. Any suggestion, please?

I guess that MSN uses the same Characters that are available for internet explorer and word etc.

What you will need to do is re-install the font type and your problem should be solved.

    http://www.nisfont.co.jp/

If you've done a simple install of the XP OS, then you should by default attempt to load up the font from the Japanese site.

If not then you will have to check your browsers Internet Options -> Preferences and make sure you have either:
Auto font install or ask to install font enabled. (Or something like that).

    This should fix your problem.

btw, for those of you that don't know Kanji is the character type for Japan (I believe)

    Now, here's the 'problem expansion':
My MSN can only display kanji when it comes to conversation, like ‚±‚¤‚Ô‚ñ( though I found out that sciforums replies dopn't support kanjis) says, but when it comes to contact list, all these kanjis cannot appear how they're supposed to.
Also, I just found out that my window (I'm talking about the IE window, not the OS) can display kanji while my title bar (the one on the very top of an application) can't. How and Why?
    Help me...

Oh, and kanji means all those writings Chinese and japanese use, though the Chinese kanji and the Japanese are different.

When you downloaded MSN did you choose the English version of it? There is also Chinese and Japanese variants of MSN which would probably allow you to see the contact list in each languages form. This is just a guess.

sadly, I just tested it and there's no improvement: My contact list still can't show kanji, as well as my title bar
