View Full Version : MSN Explorer is great Futurist 09-29-02, 01:08 AM I use it, great features, convenient to send mail, try it now. Stryder 09-29-02, 05:32 AM You know thats an inflammatory statement, don't blame me if you get burnt. It's just the whole Microsloth buggy code piece that tends to get people, but thats why you posted it isn't it? :D Futurist 09-29-02, 05:36 AM what OS you use? MSN is good, no cheat. I support windows, better than linux. gkun 09-29-02, 03:35 PM "MSN Explorer is great " Man, I can't believe that someone wrote this.... Futurist 09-29-02, 11:18 PM prove to me why it is no good, it surfs the Web perfectly. wet1 09-30-02, 12:27 AM I think the biggest problem with MSN is its potential to be abused. There are somewhere around 30 viruses for Linux, there are around 500 plus varients for MS products. Not only that, but a lot of websites take advantage of MSN, changing your personal settings that you have set or that are the default. I do not think they should be able to permantely affect your settings. That once you leave the site, your setting should return to what you perfer. As such MS products have a glaring deficiency. That of security. Does it work for browsing the net? Yes, it does, at a risk. If they would close all these loopholes or better take the time to develop a secure product it would be much better. Futurist 09-30-02, 06:56 AM I run Windows XP. The service pack 1 fix the holes.:D it is perfect now!!!!!!:D wet1 10-01-02, 01:24 AM My issue with security has not changed. I run XP also. Even with the updates it was not what I consider secure. spookz 10-01-02, 01:33 AM what no firewall wet1? Best to make sure it is RFC 2795 compliant then. :D Stryder 10-11-02, 01:44 PM One problem, the monkey's won't work for virtually peanuts.
