Everybody seem to want to blaim the Federal Government for the problems in New Orleans, now lets look at what the Parish and City of New Orleans is doing to help the citizens.

You need building permits and demolition permits from the city and the parish to do any repair or rebuilding, so were is the log jamb on the rebuilding of New Orleans?

Isn't it amazing that the other state hit by Katrina is so much farther ahead than Louisiana, and you never hear anything about Mississippi and their recovery and rebuilding, but then they didn't wait on the Federal Government to come to their rescue, and they started cleaning up on their own.

Right, but Louisiana is worse, as the comparison with its neighbor illustrates. Ray Nagin made decisions that directly led to people dying. Yet he has escaped criticism for this and escaped criticism for his continued gaffs because he continues to blame FEMA and Bush — a tact the media loves and continues to parrot for him.
