    Hello,

I don't know if this is the right place for this topic, but I was hoping for some input on a nation that I will be using as one of many nations in a video game I hope to make in the far future. I would like for input as to whether or not this civilization could function. Keep in mind, also, that this is a fantasy setting, in which magic is real, medieval technology is used, and humans aren't the only sentient specie.

    HISTORY

The civilization, having been formed from a revolution against a tyrannical regime that oppressed its constituents, is, from what I've been able to gather on the phrases, a "popular monarchy" with just a small hint of "constitutional monarchy." Its name, the "Kingdom of Milandria," lends its name to the leader of the revolution and first popularly elected monarch, Joles K'seir Milandred. Milnandred was a wise and charismatic leader who fought alongside his troops, dressed in light armor so as to not alienate himself from his peasant roots. The revolution was a long one of about 30 years, starting with small-scale covert missions and ending with large-scale battles, but in the end, the tyranny fell and was replaced by Milandred. Soon after, though, former spies for the tyrant came and killed Milandred, leaving his son, Augstruss Ofketvadian Milandred, in his place. The new king was about as wise and charismatic as his father, and dedicated himself to ruling the way his father would have ruled. After annexing places that were previously conquered and oppressed by the tyrannical regime that preceded the Milandred family, and despite the constant wars between the other great nations and struggles with bandits beyond its borders, Milandria has become a prosperous place with king and citizen mutually loyal to each other.

    GOVERNMENT

"Milandria" can actually refer to two nations: the kingdom itself, and the federation consisting of smaller states alongside the kingdom that, while enjoying the benefits of being part of Milandria, are technically autonomous. These smaller states are mostly tribes of more primitive people that were conquered by the tyranny from before, but some other states consist of exiles from other nations seeking refuge.
The central government of Milandria, located at the capitol, the "City of the Golden Flame," makes decisions on what industries to encourage, where to send soldiers, how to increase domestic trade, and the like, as well as sponsoring and regulating research.

    ECONOMY

The economy, based on a gold coin standard, is somewhat socialist; that is, the government owns most of the means of production for basic goods such as food, as well as the means of production for government-issue equipment. However, the government does allow private companies to produce basic goods, and also allows government employees to use privately-made equipment if they so choose. The rest of the industries and services, while not government-owned, are regulated by the government to make sure that they are up to par with expectations. When such expectations are increased, the government sends some resources to the businesses to help them meet the expectations. Other than that, the people are very prosperous; hardly anyone is unemployed, and next to no one starves.

    MILITARY

The military of Milandria consists mostly of volunteers and reserve forces; only a small percentage of the army consists of actual professional soldiers. The reason is that the people are fiercely loyal to their nation. Each soldier, volunteer or professional, is issued a weapon and set of armor of their choice, with higher-ranking soldiers getting weapon upgrades as they rise in rank. In addition to the army, there are also mercenary forces hired from the smaller autonomous territories.

    LEADERSHIP

The king of Milandria, Augstruss Ofketvadian Milandred, has no heir as of yet (he doesn't know it, but he's sterile). He follows a code of honor that can be summed up as "don't do anything bad for the people." There is a parliament that consists of people making sure that the king does his job, though since Milandred is such a great king already, they mostly focus on finding an heir for when Milandred dies. There are also advisers to the king, as well as governors to various regions of the kingdom, mayors of towns and cities, and ambassadors to negotiate things with the smaller states.

    PEOPLE

Since the revolution, there have been very few issues with poverty. There was a short-lived problem with the integration of sentient species (racism and all that), but under the guidance of Joles K'seir Milandred, and later, his son, there was a "Sentient Humanoid Bill of Rights," which made racism illegal. This, coupled with both leaders' great charisma, led to an end of racial hate.
The people are very loyal to the causes of their nation. This is due to the wisdom of the king, the sense of unity among the people, and a sense of duty to the nation in which they live.

So, are there any problems? Areas in which the depth of this nation can be improved? Extra details that I would need to consider?

Thanks in advance for any help.
