    Well like the author states Longhorn will probably end up looking dramatically different than what is shown there. Looks pretty much like XP for now but again...it'll probably end up looking different.

    I was not only dealing with the visual aspect but with the general idea. They don't speak about the "background" but I guess it is still a Windows/DOS-like and not a Unix-based architecture.

    It uses a different kind of file System,called WINFS.
