I was wondering..anyone here into long multi-week walking?

I've only been 'into it' for a couple of years and so far my experience is limited to the different Santiago de Compostela routes. I've done the Via de la Plata (1000km), Routa Portuguese (400km), Camino Frances (750km) and the Fisterra Way (100km)...

These routes are easy because of the infrastructure u have available on the way.

In March-April I will be doing part the St James Way in Turkey with my girlfriend. It's in the mountains on rough terrain so we won't be able to do the whole thing in the 2 wks we have time.. If we manage 250km i will be very happy.

anyone else into this kind of thing? Maybe tips on routes?

Sounds fun. I wish I had free time enough to do things like that.

I've never done any long distance "walking", but I've taken week-long (50+ miles) backpacking trips. It's pretty fun, but we always end up picking really difficult trails, with a lot of elevation change.
