Yes, the last winter was really warm, and nearly no snow. I did not like it much, make it colder, please!

I like it colder. A pity that there isn't much more North to go..

Greenland? Yeah, but I would like the north of Finnland, alas, Greenland would be nice. Can I hunt some whales when I am there? I like whale, I can eat tons of it, so tasty.

But the weather is also getting warmer in Scnadinavia, so that might not be an option. Perhaps Siberia?

I recall Latvian winters.... I can still feel the pleasant pain in my joints! But there is some area further north. Norway, Sweden.... If summers are about 20C there, I'll gladly move.

Well, we're having a chilly summer here in Illinois, so I'll believe in Global Warming when it gets to be 2080 and the Austrian ski industry is closed down.

Makes it pretty clear that global warming seems to happen only in Western Europe and surrounding villages.

Now before we go into the causes, how unique is this warming? If we must believe the IPCC allied proxy investigators it's definitely unique:

Now, is'nt that striking proof of global warming?

The problem however is that this graph is the product of assumptions mainly based on tree ring analysis, ice cores and pollen in sediment. These assumptions lead to choices. And choices are always made with bias.

What you can't fool is direct measurement, using thermometers. And for Europe where the "global warming" is most pronounced, we know the measured temperature for ages. The only bias of those thermometers is the "Urban Heat Island effect" where the growing cities produce their own heat, which is also recorded on the thermometers. So you would expect a slight warming thoughout the ages. Well, this is it:

Now Europe would have had the strongest hockeystick, wouldn't it? I wonder why all those hockey stick makers like Mann et al did not use real temperatures for their upshots.

Enjoy the nice summers, it seems to be part of a natural cycle, known as the Atlantic Oscillation. Soon we're back to the years without summers.

Well, we're having a good old fashioned style summer in the UK - maybe a good old fashioned style winter is just around the corner

As for Europe warming faster than anywhere else: wouldn't by any chance have anything to do with Europe being concreted over faster than anywhere else, would it?

No, that is just a reason for floods, not really for warmth. Summer so far is a bit wet, at least here in Germany. Compared to last year, were there was not a drop of rain in two months and the heat was incredible. This year, pretty cold and much water falling down.

ok, I dunno about global warming, but there is definately i feel some local warming here in holland, overall it seems the winters are getting softer, but that the summers are much wetter, more cloudy days between blue sky summer days i don't think the summer has improved.

The last winter in NYC was unusually cold, and this summer is unusually cool by a few degrees. We didn't get to mid-90F, and usually we have a few days of 100F.

We have had a REAL snowfall on May 24 this year here in E.Europe under 48N! Nothing like that has happened for at least a century! And the real summer began only in the mid-August! What the hell about this "warming"!? It's really becoming cooler and cooler!!!
