Hi guys!
Categorical imperitive (whatever that means!..) (I might know what that means) of logotherapy. Person centered psychotherapy of course you all know about it I'm sure. I have a few concerns with the theory as how it applies. I was wondering how you would apply it to your life. I want to apply it to mine. I've tried over the past year to figure out how somebody would actually continue living this way, or the ways in which the word actually does apply to someone. The actual - clear - and - precise, ways in which the theory would be named applicable, or even understandable.
I am not 100% sure what he said exactly. Something about living this way
Live as if you were living again for the first time, and are about to act as wrongly now as if you did the first time!
It was something exactly like this,
is the most profound way to promote a sense of responsibility?
I figure that this line of thought possibly has many levels. First, it talks about responsibility which all of the people who think about what existentialism means and such, are of course very obviously wondering about how this would apply as well. To existentialism. To the therapy...
Anyway, before I trail off I will catch myself.
I think that this is important to some people who would want to take responsibility. I want to know how I would apply it to my life. What do I do? What do I think.
Do I think,
"I must live as if I am living again, for the second time"
Ok. Now. I am living again as if I were living for the second time and not the first time. Huh? Ok. I am living again for the second time. Living again for the 2nd time.... And now, all of my thoughts appear to say, "I am living again for the second time"; now every action is subjected to immense responsibility.
This is what I, get out of the thing anyway. I was wondering how the specifics of it work. Do I have it right. How can I use it to a fuller extent...?
