Is everyone content with these all being lumped into one sub-forum thing?

Or should they perhaps be branched out in order for each to be addressed separately?

Or should they all be together because otherwise they each get very little action?

What's your view?

I used to think that it should be all together.

Now I think that there should be these forums:

Film/TV: the audio and visual meet

Literatue and art: The visual

Music: Audio

It will seperate them into the nature of the discussion.

I fully support flower's idea. Separate 'em.

No...pointless scatter. It is called Art&Culture for a reason. Every forum could be split up then if looked at that closely.

only spilt them up into sub forums of art and culture. i never really see enough threads about these topics like film to consitute a whole section of the forum. i vote yse to sub-forums.

Well, there isn't all that much action going on there -- I mean in the sense that Art&Culture would have to be split up into subforums ...

By content -- yes, definitely subforums.

By amount -- no, probably not worth.

I browse Art&Culture regularly. It would help a great deal if it was split up. Look, the Politics thing was split up, and now there are more interesting threads in that area!

there aren't enough of each to justify splitting. this place is too split up as it is.

I suggest;

*Music and Movies

and

*Art and Literature

Two sub forums...

I hate movies, music and books being lumped together. :(

That's the thing, if one looks at the A&C, it is all mixed up together without ballance. There's mostly music and film, and if we make subforums for those two, they will be well-filled. I'd like to go straight for the art threads, and straight for the book threads, whenever I want, without having to sift through the threads with discussions of American/British musicians and movies.

There are many posters whose main goal is to post in each subforum at least once per visit. May be if you separated art from lit from music, they'd make more threads about paintings (someone hear my plea!)....

To make more subforums also means that it will take longer to scroll to the bottom.

I'm quite interested in a literature forum though, but I am not sure it warrants its own forum. Will there really be enough posters for this forum?

I would post in a literature forum.

If anything literature and movies should be together, with art and music together in another.
But I think its ok as it is.

I say Art and Culture is too broad a term. I remember first coming here and not going in there because I thought it was about Fine Arts and stuff :bugeye:
