Hi. I've recently purchased a Lexmark X75 scanner/fax/printer combination machine. I'm having trouble scanning. The scanning bar will not move and appears to be locked but I can not find any information regarding a lock in the instruction manual or find one on the device itself. Has anyone else had this trouble or is able to offer any advice? I've emailed Lexmark but they have not responded yet to my question.

    Thanks.

do yourself a huge favour and take it back to where you bought it. exchange it for a separate scanner and epson or hp printer.. the little bit extra you will have to pay will return in the form of ink cartridge expenditure - lexmark cartiridges are more expensive than the competition.

plus,a ll in ones have never ever ever been a good idea. a mate of mine has the lex83, and its just diabolical. take that shit back before the returns policy runs out
