Iam not from an english speaking country, nor do i have any medical or science degrees so please beare with me on this one :)
If we want to freeze people and avoid brain being ripped apart bye ice chrystals why dont we just do it in outer space ?
sure we will still get a very litlle amount of gravity, but it should all but eliminate the chrystals in the blood, or is it just me who is wrong. :=)

There was a thread like this before about what would happen if u were exposed to space. I think everybody would agree that a body would explode if brought into outer space quickly.
Anyway the cells would still be destroyed by ice crystals there :(

Try reading about cryogenics, that's the process about which you are asking. Or just type in cyrogenics to your search engine.

didnt mean throw him into the void :=)
just ment freezing like on earth just in space
i hvae read some where that they make glass in space where there are no flaws or chrystals in so that light glides better :=) just figured it might work on us petty humanoids :=)

The problem is that the human body has a large amount of water built in. It doesn't matter where you do the freezing. All your cells contain water, and water forms crystals of ice when it is frozen. If you freeze your cells and them thaw them out again, the result is mushy cells which don't work as they should any more. The main problem is that water expands when it freezes, which ruptures cells and tissues.

and i suppose some one already thaugt about boiling the water out of the human body ?
thank you :) that cleared upp quite a few things for me :=)
then again i wanner be a lawyer not a scientist, proppably for the best huh
ps. my school teacher taught my class that there is a giant magnet inside the earht rotatting :=) he even made a drawing of a long metal stick inside the earth ;D

The Earth acts much as if there is a giant bar magnet inside it, but this is an analogy only. The magnetic field of the Earth is probably caused by flows of molten iron in the Earth's core (iron is magnetic).
