I was bored last night and decided to look back on some previous posts of mine. One of which was from the time around 9-11. Needless to say I was a raving maniac:

This is a war and what any good war (and there is no good war) needs is psycology. I say we stop bombing them for a few days (or hours) and once they all go outside of the bunkers to get food/supplys/ammo we start bombing the hell out of them completely out of no where, it could work. Oh yeah and one of our airmen died today but osama didn't get to kill him, he died on his ship by accident apparently, at least thats what i heard. Kmguru told me to calm down after that post. Anyways looking back I realised how much my opinions and feelings have changed. Anyone else care to add?

(If the moderator feels that this thread doesnt belong here then please move it, I didnt know where to put it)

If terror hits home it's hard not to let your rage cloud our judgement. In this respect I can imagine that for both israelis and palestines it must be very hard to distance themselves from exchanging revenge....

On 9-11 (well before I joined sciforums) I called up my mother and told her the entire nation was about to go mad and stay that way for a very long time. I figured if they succeeded in one more well placed attack, just one more lost building anywhere in the US, and I thought we would use nukes. I was probably right.

I went in my back yard and just sat there on my patio. The traffic was almost not there, the wind was still, and I just worried wor a very long time.

I remember going on another forum I frequent on 9/11/012. Everyone in there was screaming for revenge. One person even used the exact words "I want vengence."

Made me physically ill to see people being such barbarians.

After that day, everyone talked about how it would change America and all that. I remember saying, "In 3 months things here will be just like they were before. Americans will learn nothing from this."

I was right.

On 9-11 my younger brother came running in to my room and tried to wake me up yelling "AMERICA'S AT WAR!". I didn't believe him and went back to bed. Later that day I found out he wasn't lying. My girlfriend dumped me that day too  , but in contrast to WTC it really didn't bother me...
