"Paris is out of jail - gets sent to her room

After a whopping three days, the heiress is reassigned to house arrest.
by Ryan Porter

After a grimy three days that will go down as "not hot" in Paris Hilton's legacy, the 26-year-old heiress and publicity princess is out of jail and under house arrest, sporting a fashionable ankle bracelet.
House party!

She was released Thursday, June 7, shortly after midnight. Her 45 day sentence for breaking probation on a DUI charge was originally going to be sliced to 23 days pending cooperative behaviour. She will now serve 40 days because the hour or two she served before midnight on Sunday and after midnight on Thursday are being counted as full days.

"After extensive consultation with medical personnel, including doctors here at CRDF [Century Regional Detention Facility], it was determined that Paris Hilton would be reassigned to our community based alternatives to custody electronic monitoring program," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesguy Steve Whitmore said Thursday morning. This decision comes after Paris took a 90-minute meeting with her psychiatrist on Tuesday, June 5.

Reports had claimed Paris was having a rough go of it in jail. Stuck in solitary confinement for her own benefit, she's been crying herself to sleep, listening to the round-the-clock hoopla of the other inmates. Paris's aunt, Kyle Richards, sister of Kathy Hilton, said the family had planned to send her a luxury sleepmask and earplugs but were unsure if the jail would allow such luxuries."

I give up. Retardation is celebrated. Might as well just become water. Evaporate when the heat gets too high, turn to ice when the heat is gone, and become as conforming and transparent as water when things are comfortable and easy.

But... But... But... she has to serve her whole 40-day sentence now!
She is under house arrest in her billion dollar mansion, and has to have all her parties at home now.
She can't even go to the club after hours now for OVER A MONTH!!

The worthless waste of oxygen should be executed by firing squad.

Just goes to prove if you're rich and famous you can get away with anything.
If she doesn't have the mentality to last in jail(and it should have been like everyone else not solitary just for the princess) perhaps they should have committed her instead? Such a spoilt attention seeking brat, who the hell likes her anyways?:bugeye:

She was caught driving drunk, and serverd 5 dyas in prison, and was released because she couldn't handle it, so teh judge is allowing her to finish her sentence (40 more days) under house arrest in her mansion.

Is that not enough information to piss you off?
I care that miney and fame in this country can get you off the hook with the so-called "Justice System".

This case can be appealed. If not, it sets an unsettling precedent. Not that any respectable judge would consider it. Is it a case of Paris Hilton v City of Los Angeles?

"Judge orders Paris Hilton back to jail
Weeping heiress screams ‘It’s not right!’ as she’s taken from courtroom

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home.

“It’s not right!” shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she cried out to her mother."

Oh man... now this is just pityful....

Indeed.

Releasing her because she was crying and not sleeping set a very dangerous precedent. She should have been made to serve her full sentence, not just half of it.

My husband was quite amused last night when a reporter asked one of her 'fans' outside her home what he thought of her release. The 'fan' said that it was good she was released, "just like Nelson Mandela".:D

Maybe crying for my mommy would've gotten me out of a recent speeding ticket, save me $75! :D Alas, the cop nailed me bigtime, no other recourse but to pay :(

I've always hated how the rich and famous get themselves get-out-of-jail-for-free cards, but if she gets by with only 3 days jailtime for what she did, I will have VERY serious doubts about the integrity of our justice system. Seems as if I might want to consider keeping money set aside for bribes and such in case I get myself into any trouble :).

'Screaming' Paris sent back to jail

Heiress Paris Hilton has been ordered to return to jail to serve out the remainder of her 45-day sentence for a parole violation.

The 26-year-old was taken from court screaming after the decision was made by Supreme Court Judge Michael Sauer.

Hilton shouted: "It's not right!" and "Mum" as she was escorted from the Los Angeles courtroom by Sheriff's deputies.

On Thursday, the celebrity inmate was sent home from the Los Angeles County Jail's Lynwood lock-up shortly after 2am for an unspecified medical condition, only three full days into her original 45-day sentence.

She was ordered to finish her sentence under house arrest, meaning she could not leave her four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the Hollywood Hills until next month. But the move was strongly opposed by the sentencing judge and the city's chief prosecutor.

On Friday Judge Sauer ordered her back to court to determine whether she should go back to jail. County Supervisor Don Knabe said Hilton's return home on Thursday gave the impression of "celebrity justice being handed out".

Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, entered the courtroom dishevelled and crying. Her hair was askew and she wore a grey fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks. She wore no make-up and cried throughout the hearing.

Her body also shook constantly as she dabbed at her eyes. Several times she turned to her parents who were seated behind her in the courtroom and mouthed the words: "I love you."

Judge Sauer told the court: "I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions.

"At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home on Kings Road."
