If you read though the thread's and post's of one mr volont, you come to the conclusion he think's he's the messiah.
What he say's is righteous and true and all must obey, or fear the wrath.

If you have'nt already gathered, he talk's to angel's and the virgin mary.
your dream's are dream's,but his are visions.

however I think, if he has anything, on his shoulder directing, him it's the devil. as he is one cold nasty callous creature, so therefore, there can not be a ounce of humanity in him.

If you think different, please enlighten me.

If I get banned for this, then so be it.
but it has to be said.

M*W: Ya know, at first I agreed with Mr. Leo Volont on certain issues, and I thought he may have had some novel ideas to post. Shortly thereafter, I think most of us readily noticed the escalating manifestation of evil in his posts. My instincts gave me the chills when I had the sudden urge to terminate all contact with him. If I gave him the "benefit of the doubt," I would say he may just be another grumpy old man and nothing more sinister than that. But, in Mr. Leo Volont's case, I think it was more than that. After all, he claims to see visions, hear voices, and commune with certain angels, minions, and the Queen of Heaven herself, but the feeling I get is Mr. Volont's spirit world is not one of a sound mind.

I searched to see where else he was posting and found the following:

Quote: "You can't regret what you can't change"

Quote: "God and Hell are the same thing"

Quote: "There is a difference between The Greatest and Most Powerful"

Quote: "God isn't trying to scare anybody. He doesn't have to. He just kills everybody who doesn't agree with Him. When Our Lady and the Saints try to warn people, they are not trying to scare anybody — they are just trying to warn people. But me? I don't care. So I'm just trying to scare you. But God? Just as soon kill you as look at you. He's way beyond caring what people think. Do you care what ants and roaches think?"

I translated his name from French to English, interesting, but not surprising, his name translated means "Lion's Will." I'm beginning to think it's a pseudonym.

    I'm outta here!

I like his posts. The conclusions in which he comes to with his knowledge is interesting to say the least.

Ok, this is interesting. Leo has certain qualities that I personally find ermmm strange. However he is entitled to his views and his ermmm visions, strange as they may be. What I do dislike is his classification of other religions as being evil, satanic, etc. Actually I'm not a big fan of old Leo as some of you may have gathered by now, but he is entitled to his views and his say and even his messiah complex. If you have a problem with him or his views and errr visions, or if he bothers you that much, just put him on ignore. But I do agree with you preacher, he is strange and more.

And maybe this should be moved to "About the Members" or to "Open Government"?

His views should not be tolerated because they are in contest with those of the majority.

Is that not how the legislature works? To opress one that another may be "free"?

What, you read some reasonable things and the author is automatically a Messiah, or a Devil, or at least weird? Unfortunately, that is how human nature works. If there's a god, he watches and laughs; so do I.

Eh? So what if his views contest the majority? Sciforums is not a legislature. If it was, I wouldn't be here and I would not have joined. He hasn't harmed anyone with his words. Legislature in a democracy also gives the dissenting views a say. They are usually deemed to be the opposition.

Would you want to be banished because your views are in opposition to that of the majority? Just put him on ignore or don't read and respond to his posts. If we're going to ban someone because they are insane, strange, weird, have different views, etc, then most of us should also be banned.

The guy's not all there, but lets face it, he is amusing as hell to read. I'm still lauging at the Carmelite history that he has dreamt up and posted as fact. The mental image of a warrior like friar protecting the sacred line so that Mary could be born still has me in stitches. This is why I sometimes don't mind that insane asylums allow patients access to the internet.

HEH! He doesn't have to write much for anyone to recognise it. That becomes obvious by just reading 2 lines.

I'm the last person to stand up for him as I am always opposing his views, but seriously, if you can't stand him that much, put him on ignore.

I wasn't referring to sciforums being a legislature. I was making a passing comment about the relationship between this and some thread in the ethics, morality & justice room concerning the constitution and the supression of religion. Nothing important.

After all, he has only claimed to see the angel of God "aflame" with a sword...

Too many ban-happy people around. And no, nobody mentioned the word but it'd lead to that.

I have'nt read anything about banning accept for you and the preacher (and the preacher was talking about himself).
also neildo, I'm loathed to understand how, you could like such an nasty person, perhap's you believe him to be the messiah (the second commandment: thou shall't have no other gods but me.).
why do you think the power's that be will ban anyway, free speech and all that.

I think it's more likely he'll either leave himself, as not to many people will debate with him.

Or people will ridicule him more and he'll leave for that reason, I wont be reading his thread's or post's, and If he post reply's to anything I write, I'll just skip over him as if he was'nt their.

then after several post he ask the same question again
this was not nasty not rude just a straight forward question and then this, is full of malice for no reason
he thinks he so special/the messiah.
you have to read though most, if not all, his writings because he comes over as rather weird.
I'm pleased as punch to see this thread, people are noticing his faults, and huge ones they are.
my hats off to you all. "Hoorah "

Well, in a group of people, there is always some sort of order -- like who is the nicest, who is the bluntest, who is the smartest, ... -- and who is the most extremist religionist. Here, now, this is Leo, before, it was PM.

We are working with a relative scale -- relative to other members here; we aren't working with some absolute scale. On some other forums, people like Leo are regarded as the middle, not as an extreme.

But as it is, social groups are always trying to soften the extreme edges, and this is what is happening here, that was the purpose of this thread.

Q3: seems logical, you can have all the power in the world and still be an ass

I think you ppl perhaps are reading the wrong things in to his post, but what do i know i have newer seen any of his post in there full contens

PM was extreme but not weird, PM did'nt have strange bedfellow's, PM was just funny, but people like LEO, would not allow anyone to regard them as the middle.
your in the wrong social groups, I've never came across anybody trying to soften the extreme edge's, they usually say what they think.
as they do on this forum, hence why we are here, and not elsewhere, and I would say this thread like the rest is to get the opinion of other's as it is alway's on this forum.

good thread preacher, about time someone said something.
    great.

Alot of valid points have been raised about Leo Volont. I do want to state
however that he has actually made an effort to improve. fahrenheit 451
pointed out a portion of a thread through which Leo exhibited some behavioral
problems. Since then, he has made a noticeable effort to eliminate these
negative behaviors in other threads. His views are different of course but I
have noted that he is trying to communicate them in an improved way.
