Breathes there one leftist who thinks Alec Baldwin should be treated the same as Don Imus was? One?

Silly question.

Don Imus said stupid things, but certainly nothing stupider than is sung by rappers on top selling CDs. What rap artist has apologized for using hateful epithets? Oh that's right, none of them.

Now what rap artist has been fired for using hateful epithets, the kind that Al Sharpton has used? Same answer. Nobody.

Comes now Alec Baldwin, calling his daughter "a pig" and other assorted hateful names. Baldwin is such a pathetic father he doesn't even know if his child is 11 or 12.

No matter. Gee, he's "talented." (This is liberalspeak for "he's one of us. ZZZZT. Nix with the criticism.)

I could go on for days with examples of leftist hypocrisy. There is no defense for it. There is only excusing it by claiming that the "repugs" - the "Nazis" are "just as bad, if not worse."

Dumbing down by leftists is their excuse du jour. It's anti-intellectual and terribly offensive.

that is true but if someone gets hold of a private conversation in which you say something bad its a million miles away from broadcasting it on live radio.

well, the thing is this....he left the message knowing it was being recorded, obviously.

this removes any legal objection he has to the recording being released.

Being it was a private phone call, to a answering machine, who do you think was capable of releasing it? if you think real hard it was another Hollywood liberal, can you name her? I will give you a hint her initials are ---Kim Basinger

If that's the worst Baldwin has ever said to his kids I say he should be awarded Father of the Year. If Cheney had done the same thing the dumbass OP author would be applauding the tough love style. Baldwin isn't a rightwing freak so the righties think they've nailed the Left and saved little George and his sinking administration! If this is all you nutty righties have you truly are Doomed in '08. I can't WAIT!

you are assuming that i give a flying fuck about liberal actors.im saying that it is a completely different thing because he never intended that to be broadcasted.i dont think don imus should have been fired, but what he did is not comparable to a personal message left by alec baldwin

And I really don't give a FF about liberals either. And you got it, it was a private message that was released in a messy divorce case that has drug on for 6 years, to attack a frustrated father, because the mother is playing head games with him, and using the daughter to do so.

your forgetting that imus has a history of making racially insensative statments. people just got fed up with the cyclical stupid statment and apology cause he kept on doing it that is why he was fired. it just wasn't because of this one instance they took his history into account

Maybe I missed it ... but it simply seemed like a father very pissed off with his spoilt daughter. Probably the child is going off the tracks and the father feels he needs to discipline her but doesn't know how exactly. It's obvious he cares about his daughter or he wouldn't make the specific time to call her?

Sure he went on a tirade but it happens. That his wife could post this in the news is astonishing. She must be a bitch. Nice arse though so I forgiver her :)

Anyway, it was a private phone conversation not a public radio stunt. And really I didn't think Imus was all that bad either. Society can do with a little thicker skin. Life isn't a Disney cartoon.

He (alec baldwin) has recently called Vice President Dick Cheney a terrorist, and claimed that "he terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately.".[5] He later recanted this statement, saying that Cheney was not a terrorist but rather "a lying, thieving oil whore and a murderer of the U.S. Constitution".[6] Baldwin has continued to level strong criticisms at the Bush Administration on his blog labeling Bush a "trust fund puppet" and Cheney a "constitution hating sociopath" and a "hate-filled maniac".[7] Baldwin talked about the harm he believes Bush did to democracy by comparing the presidential election of 2000 to the September 11, 2001 attacks: "I know that's a harsh thing to say, perhaps, but I believe that what happened in 2000 did as much damage to the pillars of democracy as terrorists did to the pillars of commerce in New York City." [6]

haha..

No wonder you pigs want to smear him with dirt.
