Good start Coolskill, I haven't made that much flash myself, the programs easy once you get use to it, since you just have to note it's based on Animation timelines, so your just telling it what to play and when, where to, and whether or not it should stop until an action is done.

The main things I've created have been navigation bars for a few sites (Of course I've also had to code "alternative" bars incase people don't view flash).

    Tip:
Some intro's are good to sites, if they tell a little story etc, ones that just do their logo or something are in some respects a complete waste of time. (Since if you want someone to notice your site, then a decent animation will do it, not your logo lol)

It is possible to generate whole websites in flash alone, but just remember that any written content in flash can't be spidered to be viewed by search engines (because it becomes a graphical element in some cases and encoded in others)
[So include METATAGS on your pages]

I'm sure there are other tips out there, but the main one is have fun with it.

    Thanks.
    Flash is easy so far.
It took me 2 evenings to learn how to do this, but I know it's only the tip of the conscious iceberg.
I look at flash sites, and wonder how they do all of the more complicated stuff.

I believe that's actionscript they are coding in. Would love to learn that myself and use it.

Actionscript is very similar to VB code from the looks of it.

Some sites actually use Shockwave rather than flash.

One of the great things about flash is you can make small buttons or animations and generate a library, so you can add them to a larger project later.

However the flash programs are not very good at backwards compatibility, namely if you've got Flash 5 installed and you try to view someones Flash 6 project in the viewer, it won't run.

In fact the only way to run a Flash 6 on your system is to make sure that you have the Flashfiles updated, and run the file thats in Flash 6 from a HTML page.

[ I created a page to make this easier on those with previous flash versions on one of my sites.

    http://www.chatsoba.com/tutorial/flashtool.html

It will allow you to enter a URL or point your browser "Locally" on your PC. If you get the source code for flashtool.html and flash.html you can save them together on your computer and use them offline.

This was only a tool to get around my flash problems as every version 6 sent to me meant I had to embed it in HTML and load it in a browser. This cut that out.]

Why don't you upgrade to Flah MX?
That's what I use, and it sees everything fine.

It's one of those "Software legality issues" and the fact that I can't install what I havent' got but I'm sure I'll sort it in the future (perhaps when the next Flash is out lol)

Good job... I did a full project in Flash and I have to say "Doh..." (dixit Homer Simpson). Sometimes, it's hard, mainly because of the timeline (some function are asynchonous).

    Can I add two things?
    - You should wait before adding your 2 links (until the first frame AFTER you pressed the button) because we are able to click on these URL at the beginning (or you could disable them...).
    - Is it you on the picture?
