I need some help for my hardware project. I need to get 100 replies to some questions I have to put forward. Seeing as though I don't know 100 people who understand computers, let alone can answer questions about them, I thought I'd try my hand at the forums. Building personel computers into toasters... i'll try find a link, its known as stealth computers

2. What is your favourite aspect of computer modding?
Sparkly things oooh pretty. That and over-clocking a processor till you can cook eggs on it

3. What do you not like about computer modding?
When the eggs stick, or when stuff gets too expensive for making the mod

Making game mod's and total converstions, everyone and the pope is making a mod for something these days

Bad and corny voice acting in unskippable fmv sequences...

AVG Free edition

7. If you had the money, what virus checker would you use?
AVG Free edition, if i had the money i'd want to spend it on something else

Spec's, its gotta be upto date

lightning effects + raw hellpower! citius, altius, fortius
I prefer raw storagepower though ;)

6. Well, since ages ago someonoe suggested McAfee and I've been using it till now.
7. Dunno, maybe the same ol McAfee...

Neon lights and flashy expensive things that make the comp look sexy (especially dark red sex lights in the case)

the fact that computers are smaller, sheeker and sexier

people that think their computer is the shit because it looks good, but it has horrible specs and the hardware argues

Graphics that look real. Games that require the latest video cards to run smoothly at full graphics.

5. What do you not like about gaming?
Games that require the latest video cards to run smoothly at full graphics and the amount of time and money it takes tpo really get into gaming. It takes away from studying, friendships, etc.

Norton 2004 (I got it for free from a friend)

7. If you had the money, what virus checker would you use?
dunno, I never really cared, Norton works fine

8. What do you look for when buying a computer?

Everything. Quality of the computer, price, waranty, upgradeability, how the hardware gets along, I try to make it suit what my needs are at the time. (my desktop for games and web surfing, my laptop for school and travelling and my linux box... to learn Linux.

1) Creating unnecessary lights, and making "cube" shaped computers.
2) Don't really have one.
3) It expensive when your on a budget and the results don't do much for me, for the effort put into it.
4) those massive multiplayer online role playing game things (example: Final Fantasy 11)
5) People are so much better at it than me, and the lag.
6) Norton Corporate Edition 7.x
7) Symantec Corporate Edition 8.1
8) If it's going to be reliable, low mantinence.

1: Making the box transparent as well as being able to fit only 5 matchsticks in.
2: Favourite aspect of modding, Cause I can Mod.
3: When you have to jury rig your ascii off like a rerun of McGyver escaping with no more than a hairpin.
4: Developing the third in a trilogy before releasing the first.
5: Four Directional joysticks
6: AVG and my own blend of Regediting.
7: I'd get my own project on the go.
8: I lookup as much info on the motherboard, so I know how far I can spec it.

Lots of internal and external lighting, Fancy cooler fans and perspex windows.

2. What is your favourite aspect of computer modding?
Overclocking. I wouldnt do it though.

3. What do you not like about computer modding?
Nothing really.

Games concentrating more on story line than actual gaming pleasure.

5. What do you not like about gaming?
The time it takes, it could destroy your social life I would imagine. The expense of games.

AVG free edition.

Panda Anti-virus.

8. What do you look for when buying a computer?
Specifications, nothing else is relevant, if it looks pretty and has bad specifications then its pointless. You can mod it to look better at a later date if you wish, itll cost more to upgrade all the hardware.
